This issue has persisted through many generations, forcing young players to choose between playing for foreign teams or staying in Malta. Furthermore, this also seems to persist as Maltese players do not seem to gain the support they need from locals, as they choose to follow foreign football more often. For this we will be interviewing an up-and-coming athlete named Yulya Carella who plays for the Imgarr local team and the Malta National Team. She has had 12 years of experience, playing for 3 different local teams, and 2 different categories of the national team since 2016. She would be a good candidate to gather information on the workings of how these two teams correspond and differ from each other.
