Imgarr United Women announce the loan of Yulya Carella for a one season spell.
This article
aims to highlight the discrepancies in women’s football in Malta, highlighting
the differences between playing locally and nationally, and the difference in
support between male and female sport.
For this we will be interviewing an up-and-coming athlete named Yulya Carella who plays for the Imgarr local team and the Malta National Team. She has had 12 years of experience, playing for 3 different local teams, and 2 different categories of the national team since 2016. She would be a good candidate to gather information on the workings of how these two teams correspond and differ from each other.
The main topic is going to include the issues women face when striving for success in football, which is the male dominating sport in Malta. We will ask Yulya Carella mainly about how playing for the national team impacts her life and how the experience differs from playing in a local team. What struggles she face in day to day life due to training, what she thinks women can achieve in the sport.
The interview is to be filmed in Imgarr pitch, with extra shots Infront of the centenary stadium, with her wearing the gear of her team.
A canon 250d with a tripod and boom mic will be needed as well.
The main platform for this article will be facebook as it will reach most of the targeted audience which are football fans of all ages.
She is to send us pictures of her over the years, playing football. Any videos would be apricated as well.

1. What got you interested in football?
2. What age did you start?
